Job Description

The Area Revenue Analyst will  be responsible for the execution of revenue strategies (rate changes, restrictions, package and promotion creation) across all distribution channels.  The Area Revenue Analyst will develop, prepare, and monitor revenue reports that will assist the Area Director of Revenue Strategy in implementing the hotel’s yield strategies.  The Area Revenue Analyst will work with the revenue generation team(s) in the  areas of pricing, distribution channel strategy, and digital marketing to meet the hotel’s financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Accurate preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports (pace, segmentation, channel, etc.).

  2. Ensuring all rates are loaded & bookable, and inventory management is correct across all distribution channels.

  3. Perform regular audits and maintenance on all systems (PMS, CRS, RMS, sales and catering, channel managers) to ensure content and information is correct.

  4. Establish rate parity across all channels.

  5. Work closely with OTA market managers to optimize these channels and ensure maximum visibility.

  6. Review and analyze reports and present revenue generating opportunities to the management team.

  7. Work collaboratively with the Area Director of Revenue Strategy to implement an effective revenue strategy.

  8. Creation and execution of a demand-based pricing strategy by room accommodation.

  9. Deep understanding of the hotel's defined competitive set as well as the resort(s) positioning within those respective sets.

  10. Work with the digital marketing team in the execution of the marketing plan aimed at both long-term positioning as well as short-term need generation tactics.

  11. Leverage RMS system to identify booking trends by segment, room category, and day of the week and make any system adjustments necessary.

  12. Be able to influence change and demonstrate a sense of accountability and grow to a level of comfort during all interactions with key stakeholders.

  13. Act as the Area Director of Revenue in their absence.

  14. Occasionally lead weekly Revenue Management property level meetings. 

  15. Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  1. College degree (BS or higher)

  2. Minimum of 2-years experience in the revenue management discipline

  3. Experienced user of Synxis and Opera

  4. Expert in Excel (Google Sheets) particularly with high-level macros and key business functions

  5. Well-versed in revenue management & distribution technologies (PMS, CRS, RMS)

  6. Strong written and oral communication skills

  7. Independent worker

  8. Confidence in influencing key stakeholders on strategy and ability to drive revenue strategy

  9. Must be able to understand and evaluate complex data from various sources to meet appropriate objectives

  10. Ability to understand demand, and leverage predictive modeling tools to implement an effective pricing and distribution deployment

 

Prefered Qualifications

  1. Previous experience in either an area or regional role is preferred but not required

  2. College degree in hospitality or finance is preferred by not required

  3. Ideas G3, experience is preferred but not required

  4. Bi-lingual Spanish is a benefit but not required
