Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is actively hiring compassionate Caregivers and Home Care Aides to provide non-medical, in-home care to seniors and adults in Schererville, IN and surrounding Lake & Porter County areas.

- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, ambulation, and transfers
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and organizing
- Assist with safe mobility (walker or wheelchair)
- Provide medication reminders only (no medication administration)
- Monitor and report changes in client condition
- Document care using our mobile timekeeping and care app
- Follow all safety, infection control, and agency policies
- High school diploma or GED required

1+ year caregiving experience preferred (home care, assisted living, nursing home, or similar)
- CNA experience is a plus but not required
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass a national background check
- Current CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain)
- Dependable, compassionate, and professional
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and documentation
- Job Type: Part-time / PRN
