Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is currently hiring compassionate Caregivers and Home Care Aides to provide non-medical, in-home care to seniors and adults in Munster, IN and surrounding Lake & Porter County areas.

- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, ambulation, and transfers
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and organization
- Assist with safe mobility using walkers or wheelchairs
- Provide medication reminders only (no administration)
- Observe, document, and report changes in client condition
- Clock in/out and complete care notes using a mobile app
- Follow all agency policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures
- High school diploma or GED required

1+ year caregiving experience preferred (home care, assisted living, or long-term care)
- CNA experience welcomed but not required
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
- Must pass a national background check
- CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain)
- Dependable, professional, and compassionate
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and documentation

Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
