Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on and knowledgeable Accounting Manager, Global Payroll to join our growing Global Payroll team. This individual will serve as a key member of the Controllership organization, overseeing the accounting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting of Global Payroll. Responsibilities of this role include hiring and managing a global team of Payroll accountants, preparation and review of Payroll related journal entries, calculation of Payroll accruals, Payroll forecasting, variance analysis and reporting. This role will also focus on designing and executing controls to maintain SOX compliance and implementing process and system improvements. This position will report to the Director of Global Payroll.

We are looking for an accounting professional who can:

• Prepare, review, and approve Payroll journal entries at global level including inter-company journal entries
• Prepare, review, and approve Payroll related accruals including Vacation, Severance, Pension and Benefits
• Manage additional monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including calculation of global Payroll tax rates, Payroll account reconciliations, Payroll internal controls performance, and Payroll reporting
• On a monthly basis, provide Payroll expense trend and analytical review of P&L activities and perform Balance Sheet fluctuation analysis for Payroll accounts
• Prepare Global Payroll cash forecast to support cash management 
• On a semi-annual basis compile Global ESPP contributions for purchase of shares
• Assist with preparation of Payroll PBCs for quarterly reviews and the annual audit
• Collaborate with Payroll Processing and Payroll Operations managers to optimize integrations with NetSuite and maintain Global Payroll GL mapping
• Collaborate cross-functionally with People and Culture Operations, People and Culture Benefits, Global Stock Administration, Finance Transformation, IT Business Systems, Tax, FP&A and Treasury to address new Zscaler initiatives and to optimize our processes
• Participate in the ongoing Finance Transformation and automation initiatives undertaken by the accounting team

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Payroll Accounting experience, including exposure to publicly traded and SaaS companies
• BS in Accounting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with software packages NetSuite and Ceridian Dayforce preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under tight timelines
• Ability to work with and manage teams remotely across the globe
• Result-oriented individual with high degree of accuracy and ability to take initiative

Additional Information

The base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000 to $135,000 + bonus, equity, and benefits.
