Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be part of the Raytheon Government Accounting team responsible for the development of the government required annual incurred cost submission filing. Work requirements include liaison and audit support activities with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and other government representatives to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual requirements, and compliance with RTX policies. This role provides ongoing opportunities to interface with the Finance key team members, including the Controller and CFO.
All Government Accounting partners across Raytheon work to standardize controls and processes, identify best practices, and create efficiencies in order to ultimately support our internal and external customers.
What You Will Do:
Prepare and analyze data for submission of adequate annual Incurred Cost Proposals for SAS and other RI&S Home Offices
Responsible for the formulation and preparation of formal audit responses to DCAA/DCMA. Act as liaison to inquiries and audits.
Provide guidance related to disclosed practices, policies & procedures, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Compliance support for SAS and RI&S Segments/Reporting Units
Provide guidance related to compliant costing (NBI, Support Labor, Ethics, Material)
Coordinate with process owners for Support Allocation/Labor Pool compliance and audit requests
Ensure timely updates for Booking and Billing Indirect Rates
Coordinate across the enterprise to align FAR/CAS interpretations, identify best practices, and support required Corporate Metrics
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or a related field and 5+ years relevant financial work experience; or an Advance degree and 3+ years of relevant financial experience.
Experience with SAP, Analysis for Office, MS Excel or similar financial systems.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Possesses knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) cost principles, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Agency FAR Supplements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Strong analytical skills, leveraging intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel functionality
Ability to summarize large sets of data for leadership review
Deep interpersonal skills and the ability to function well in a team based environment and ensure overall objectives and goals of the organization are achieved
Desire to work in a highly collaborative environment
Excellent writing, communication and critical thinking abilities.
