Samson & Surrey East Division Director

This is a fully remote position that will require travel throughout the assigned territory. Candidate must live within the territory, with ideal preference in Georgia or Florida.

What the Role Is

The East Division Director position with Samson & Surrey is responsible for leading the sales team to deliver the company annual objectives. In pursuit of success, the position will work with the team to form an Annual Operating Plan by translating the Samson & Surrey commercial vision into actionable market strategies and plans.

This position will be responsible for the following markets: Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Maryland/DC/Delaware, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

• Lead in building an Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Followed by regular evaluation of performance against sales forecast and KPI’s.
• Lead – Guide – Coach direct reports to carry out the annual operating plan to deliver company objectives.
• Utilize insights and apply own knowledge of economic, category, channel and other trends to maximize profitability.
• Build trusting and dynamic distributor relationships with key leaders to work towards attaining the S&S sales objectives.
• Lead routine business reviews to inform and identify key performance success and deficiencies.
• Works closely with team to help define their own unique career path.

Who You Are…

• Minimum seven (7) years of experience leading distributors in the spirits industry required
• Understand the value chain economics: supplier – wholesaler – retailer to maximize profit and value.
• Experience building strategic plans to support portfolio long term growth
• Ability to influence and lead the distributor network to deliver annual goals
• Comfort working on a high-performance, fast-paced, entrepreneurial teams
• Business computer proficiency, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Ability to travel within the territory up to 40-50%

Physical Requirements
While performing duties of the job, employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and use a computer. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Employee may be required to work alternative hours or travel to other sites to meet customer needs.
