PDC Technology Center Manager

JOB SUMMARY: 

Manage the PDC Cutter Technology Center in Conroe, TX as a facility manager with development duties. The technology center supports the cutter development team with performance testing. Run all equipment and lead a small team safely and responsibly. Work on development projects for cutter designs and cutter performance testing.
 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure all equipment is operational, properly maintained, inspected, and calibrated

Coordinate renovations, equipment installation or removal, commissioning, and maintenance of all equipment and alarm systems

Liaise with manufacturing maintenance personnel and third party equipment and service vendors

Make sure all facility HSE protocols are followed and department records are maintained

Oversee the cutter development and performance testing cells 

Lead a small team of technicians whom are responsible for collecting and inspecting samples, running equipment and tests, reporting results, prototyping parts, and method development

Perform duties as project manger for cutter and testing development projects 

Complete cutter modifications requested by manufacturing or repair centers

Support root cause analyses field request and repair center cutter inquiries

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration, or relevant field.

Or proven experience as a facilities manager or relevant position.

Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.

Relevant PDC drill bit knowledge and experiences desired

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Good analytical/critical thinking.

Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFM) will be an advantage.

Laboratory testing and validation experiences
