Mechanical/Process QA/QC

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-driven Mechanical/Process QA/QC Inspector to oversee the quality assurance and control activities related to mechanical and process systems across all stages of construction and commissioning. This role is critical in ensuring all mechanical installations meet project requirements, applicable codes, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Review and ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards for mechanical and process systems.
• Perform inspection and testing of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and process piping systems throughout installation and commissioning stages.
• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and inspection test plans (ITPs) for mechanical and process disciplines.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure quality requirements are met and documented in accordance with the QA/QC plan.
• Witness and verify pressure testing, flushing, cleaning, and passivation activities for mechanical/process piping systems.
• Ensure all materials used are approved and installed in accordance with the latest construction drawings and specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with commissioning teams to support system turnover and final acceptance testing.
• Participate in quality audits and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented effectively.
• Interface with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Support the development of turnover documentation, including as-builts, redlines, and test certificates.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards during all QA/QC activities. 

 

Skills Required:

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or process QA/QC roles within construction, industrial, or semiconductor environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and process systems, construction standards, and QA/QC best practices.
• Familiarity with inspection procedures, test documentation, NCR processes, and commissioning protocols.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Proficiency with MS Office and QA/QC management tools or software.
• Commitment to upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced project environment. 

Education / Licenses / Certifications

• Certified Welder Inspector (CWI) certification preferred
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ASME, AWS, or equivalent) preferred.
• Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
