Within this organization, the primary mission of the Offer Price and Optimization engineering teams is to optimize airline revenues by selling the right products at the right prices. Our overarching goal is to lead the industry towards modern retailing, characterized by dynamic, customer-centric, and optimized offers.

The team
 

The mission of our Price Optimization Model team is to design and develop advanced AI-driven models, which are at the heart of our Dynamic Pricing products. The team also assists airlines with increasing their sales conversion and revenues while maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, with the recent signing of Hertz DaVinci project, the team will innovate and demonstrate its dynamic pricing excellence in the car rental industry.

Its main objectives are:

• Improve the performance of our existing models and products, while shaping the future of the models

• Industrialize and simplify our solutions (automatic calibration, reporting, revenue monitoring, simulation)

• Increase coverage of our solutions to enable massive deployment

• Harmonize science and models across Offer Optimization products

• Lead the department topics around Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

• Foster adoption of cutting-edge technologies, advanced data science practices and MLOps mindset across the organization

Your Main Responsibilities

Common accountabilities:

• Has working experience and advanced and specialized technical/functional knowledge in own discipline. Understands how own area contributes to the business. Acts as a reference for colleagues with less experience and supports junior team members.​

• Influences decisions related to own activity, anticipating dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios, contributes to transversal projects, proposes improvements to processes and is accountable for own and team commitments.​

• Works independently within plan dictated by manager, with some guidance on most complex situations. 
   

Specific accountabilities:

• Transform data into insights to identify & quantify business opportunities. Solve business problems by employing machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical learning, pattern recognition or high-performance computing techniques

• Collect and manage large data sets to perform complex data analysis

• Implement data analysis algorithms on a large scale working closely with data engineering members  

• Communicate and translate complicated results & their implications to business stakeholders. 

• Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques. 

• Identify data sources, both internal and external to Amadeus, and transform them into actionable insights that support fact-based decision making. 

• Actively participate to a community of practice for data scientists.
