The software infrastructure team's primary focus is to develop the infrastructure and platform elements of Dell’s Data Protection storage solutions. Data Protection storage provides fundamental features for Dell enterprise customers for managing their data assets, disaster recovery, replication, backup, and data deduplication, etc. This team crafts the software stack responsible for storage system’s life cycle management, micro service update, OS, driver and FW update, telemetry and metrics, serviceability, and various control path components. Team’s focus includes the end-to-end software workflows managing storage appliances which are future-proof solutions for enterprise customers, as well as software building blocks for control path and data path. Given the ever-evolving landscape of storage technology, protocols, and approaches, team members are expected to maintain a proactive learning mindset, continuously adapting to ensure the delivery of state-of-the-art solutions that outpace competitors and capture a significant market share.</p><p></p><p>What you’ll achieve</p><p>As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.</p><p></p><p>You will:</p><ul><li>Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments</li><li>Prepare, review, and evaluate software/storage specifications for products and systems</li><li>Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems/for storage products and systems</li></ul><p></p><p>Take the first step towards your dream career</p><p>Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:</p><p><br/>Essential Requirements</p><ul><li>Experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, with docker and Kubernetes.</li><li>8 to 13 years of related experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, Go, C, C++, Ansible</li><li>Experience in Networking/Linux OS/Dell IDRAC</li><li>Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, diagnostic skills</li><li>Strong communication skills and an ability to articulate technical design while understanding business requirements, with the ability to debate and collaborate with other team members.</li></ul><p></p><p>Desirable Requirements</p><ul><li>Experience in Storage domain (SAN/NAS/Virtualization).</li><li>Experience in developing software for software-defined infrastructure, including hybrid cloud/onprem and multi-cloud environments.</li><li>Experience with REST API-driven development and testing</li><li>Experience working in CI/CD Framework</li><li>Experience working with Global Distributed Teams</li></ul><p></p><p>Benefits</p><p>Our people are the most critical component of our long-term success and their health and well-being are our priority.
