About the role

Description

At Venture Forthe, Inc., we are more than a healthcare provider — we are a community cornerstone. As a Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA) with a growing footprint across Western and Central New York, we support individuals with compassionate, person-centered care in their homes and communities. In addition to our home care services, we proudly offer Behavioral Health programs designed to empower independence and emotional well-being.

With a commitment to excellence, innovation, and inclusion, our work supports hundreds of individuals each day, and none of it is possible without an engaged, mission-driven workforce. As we expand into new regions and services, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Human Resources to join our Executive Leadership Team and drive forward our people and culture strategy.

This is more than a job. It’s a seat at the table—where you’ll shape the future of our agency and the lives of those we serve.

 What You’ll Do:

As Director of HR, you will oversee all facets of human resources while playing a pivotal role in shaping company-wide initiatives, supporting culture, and driving business strategy. This includes oversight of a diverse workforce across personal care, nursing, behavioral health, and office operations. You will:

  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning, quarterly goal-setting (EOS Rocks), and continuous performance improvement

  • Lead the full HR function: recruitment, onboarding, retention, and employee lifecycle management

  • Guide the agency's employee relations strategy, leading sensitive investigations and directly responding to EEOC, DHR, and legal matters

  • Ensure compliance with DOL, DOH, OMH, OMIG, and CHRC protocols, and lead internal audits and HR reporting

  • Manage the Leave of Absence process and collaborate with external vendors to ensure accurate communication and documentation

  • Oversee benefit administration and lead the annual Open Enrollment campaign, including live sessions, staff communications, and carrier evaluations

  • Partner with the Business Diversification Team to research multi-state employment laws and help build scalable HR structures for growth

  • Facilitate and participate in regular training sessions for leaders, managers, and the broader HR team, supporting both compliance and professional development

  • Present HR metrics and insights at Monthly Synopsis and Quarterly CQI meetings

  • Actively contribute to company culture through performance management, mentorship programs, and the Social Engagement Committee

  • Lead policy development, job description design, salary benchmarking, and handbook updates

  • Run data-driven reports on turnover, retention, compensation, and departmental performance

 Why Join Us?

  • Be a key decision-maker and strategic leader

  • Collaborate with a committed, values-driven Executive Team

  • Help shape a positive, inclusive, and performance-focused workplace culture

  • Enjoy hybrid work flexibility and a supportive environment committed to employee well-being

  • Make a lasting impact on the care we provide to thousands across New York and beyond

 Our Benefits:

  • Competitive salary aligned with executive-level responsibilities

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • PTO and paid holidays

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Company-paid life insurance

  • Voluntary life, short-term disability

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  • Leadership development and mentoring opportunities

Requirements

 What You Bring:
