Associate Specialist, QC

Job Description

Our Company is currently seeking candidates for the position of Associate Specialist, within the Quality Control team, at its Elkhorn, Nebraska facility.  This position will work, under minimal supervision, in the Quality Control Testing Team.

The primary roles and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Perform safety and potency testing on experimental samples, in-process lot material and final product animal vaccines for USDA release and subsequent sale in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.

• Conduct testing investigations, assist and participate in laboratory test scheduling, and planning.

• Prepare and participate in Internal, Corporate, USDA, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits. 

• Review internal documents against regulatory requirements for accuracy and compliance.

• Work on special projects and stretch assignments as assigned.

Education Minimum Requirement:

• Associate's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree or higher, with at least 2 years of relevant experience

• OR

• High School Diploma/GED with five (5) years of relevant experience in manufacturing or military service

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of 2 year of experience in laboratory, manufacturing, or technical support.

• Strong analytical skills

• Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables and competing priorities while effectively meeting deadlines. 

• Ability to effectively follow procedural guidelines.

• Readily accepts performance feedback and incorporates this feedback into future performance. 

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Experience with cell culture, virological testing concepts and principles.

• B.S. or B.A. Degree in Microbiology, Biology or Biotechnology.

• Ability to troubleshoot assay issues and perform investigations with a solid scientific foundation.

• Ability to successfully assume/complete additional technical responsibilities with little supervision.
