Senior Associate, Global Loan Originations and Syndications

Worker Type:
PermanentRole Purpose:
To support the Business Unit on all relevant aspects of transactions (i.e. development and execution). May be required to manage the execution of some less complex transactions including the due diligence process, preparation of the credit application and completion of documentation. Work with the team to deliver transaction revenues. Lead by example by demonstrating commitment to the Corporate Principles. To work collaboratively within CIB and the broader bank to deliver Shareholder Value
Essential capabilities:
3-5 years work experience in structured finance, capital markets, treasury, structured credit, investment banking or similar
Other capabilities:
Ability to work effectively with multiple business stakeholders and investors
Strong understanding of loan capital markets and structured credit products
Understanding of key diligence items in structured deals
Credit analysis experience in structured transactions is preferred
Experience:
Experience in development, syndication, and execution of complex structured deals
Proven track record in origination, syndication and execution
Engaging and managing numerous stakeholders internally and externally
Exposure to the negotiation of transaction terms and documentation
Drafting submissions and memoranda explaining complex deals
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree at a recognised university in economics, finance, actuarial studies, accounting, law or engineering and/or post graduate degrees in similar disciplines.
Expert sector knowledge and understanding of corporate finance, accounting, legal, tax and credit analysis is expected.
Key Decisions:
Working within the roles and responsibilities of the C&IB Distribution Framework
Project management of key transactions
Selecting investors for distribution and partnerships
Being a part of transaction documentation and negotiations
Engagement of internal stakeholders and seeking requisite deal approval
Instructing and managing external legal counsel
Key Accountabilities:
Work with Senior Colleagues and People Leader to
Deliver on the C&IB and Corporate Finance plan and deliver on customer outcomes
Develop capital solutions which add value to the Bank
Build effective engagement and trust with internal and external stakeholders, including third party investors and originate transactions
Assist on projects and initiatives across C&IB and B&PB through to completion on time
Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders
Contribute to a team orientated team environment that is enjoyable, challenging and rewarding
