Career Team is seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will help support our HR, Finance and Compliance teams. The incumbent will build relationships across the organization to deliver value-added services to managers and employees, advising them on various HR issues including hiring and recruiting, onboarding, performance management, leave administration, benefits, training and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a background in labor laws/HR, strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and be able to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment. 

This position will focus specifically on the company’s operations in North Central Texas (Collin, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell and Wise counties).  Career Team will have approximately 12 offices throughout this region will starting October 1, 2025.  Prior to that, this position will work remotely.  Thereafter, this position may change to a hybrid or in-office position.  

Your Impact On Career TEAM’s Success:

  • Understand the business strategies and objectives of the Human Resources department and the Company as a whole;
  • Be a protective member of the growing Human Resources department, with a special focus on the company’s  operations in North Central Texas (Collin, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell and Wise counties).
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations, federal, state and local laws;
  • Partner with business leaders to assess current talent and develop short and long term talent needs to include succession planning, individual development plans and training programs;
  • Develop recruitment strategies for each position including advertisements, networking, cold-calling, social media platforms, college/trade school, and industry events;
  • Administers Career TEAM’s benefits plans, including enrollment, employee changes, COBRA and open enrollment;
  • Conduct employee onboarding and organize training & development initiatives;
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise;
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace;
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies;
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality while attending and participating in investigations/employee relation issues;
  • Organize, track and report on annual employee performance reviews;
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form;
  • Participate in various agency-wide committees and report back to team on a regular basis;
  • Serve as a liaison between Career TEAM’s frontline employees on matters of benefits, leave, time off and corporate culture;
  • Approach each day and task with a “Zag” mindset;
  • Other duties and projects as needed.

To Qualify For This Role, You Must Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related concentration 
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience with Human Resources
  • Must be a self-starter, hands on, motivated and driven to get everything done
  • Meticulous organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Strong customer service focus and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on routine tasks
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure, including the ability to perform and complete a high volume of work assignments with speed and accuracy, work cooperatively with others and showing courteousness and a high level of professionalism
  • Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, handle personnel matters effectively, and handle employee and personnel inquiries with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly within Collin, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell and Wise counties, and elsewhere on occasion
