This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Langenfeld, Germany office. <span> </span></span></p><p><span><b><span>Job Summary</span></b><span> </span></span></p><p><span>The Sr. HR Professional is a hands-on, consultative, and multi-dimensional role, leading and managing HR initiatives and strategies across Germany, as well as Austria, Switzerland, and Benelux if applicable. Initially, the main task is to strategically and operationally establish the HR department in Germany on a sustainable basis. This position will directly report to the Chief People Officer, located in Waltham (USA), and work closely together with the senior leadership to align HR practices with business goals, ensuring a high-performance culture and fostering employee engagement. The Sr. HR Professional will be involved in the creation of contracts and policies, benefits administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and onboarding. Additionally, this position is responsible for managing our German facility. This position is hybrid, with 3-days a week in Imprivata’s German office in Langenfeld.</span></p><p><span><b><span>Duties and Responsibilities</span></b></span></p><ul><li><span>Setup and manage the HR department in Germany in close alignment with the global Chief People Officer<b></b></span></li><li><span>Attend HR leadership and team meetings, participate in developing HR department goals and objectives.<b></b></span></li><li><span>Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on HR data trends, ensuring continuous improvement in HR practices.<b></b></span></li><li><span>As a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, provide guidance on complex HR issues, support performance management, disciplinary actions, grievance processes, and conflict resolution.<b></b></span></li><li><span>Conduct regular 1-1 meetings with respective business heads (senior leadership team).<b></b></span></li><li><span>Manage third-party partners including local service providers, benefit brokers, system vendors, and other consultants. Ensure HR practices comply with German and other international employment laws, health &amp; safety regulations, and other applicable standards. Stay current on legal requirements and advise on risk mitigation strategies.<b></b></span></li><li><span>Participate in recruitment and talent acquisition strategies and interview candidates to ensure the organization attracts top talent.<b></b></span></li><li><span>Participate in the development and execution of new hire orientation and onboarding, including preparing materials and delivering the company overview and employee benefits.<b></b></span></li><li><span>Promote a positive work environment that encourages open communication and inclusivity.<b></b></span></li><li><span>Research, benchmark, develop, and administer competitive employee benefit programs for international employees, in partnership with local service providers. Ensure programs align and comply with local employment laws, maintain related records, document and update procedures.<b></b></span></li><li><span>In partnership with the training &amp; development and employee experience teams, identify training needs for teams and individuals.<b></b></span></li><li><span>Align with the global employee experience team to implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, employee reviews, and feedback cycles, to drive employee development and business success.<b></b></span></li><li><span>Develop and implement initiatives to foster employee engagement, satisfaction, and wellbeing<b></b></span></li><li><span>Drive Diversity &amp; Inclusion initiatives within the international community and the organization.<b></b></span></li><li><span>Perform day-to-day benefit administration – respond to employee issues, change reporting, invoice auditing, payment approvals, and communicate benefit information to employees.<b></b></span></li><li><span>Participate in the administration of Imprivata’s global wellbeing program.<b></b></span></li><li><span>Oversee and administer employee leave of absence requests – work very closely with service providers as needed to ensure that all leaves are communicated and processed according to country regulations and company policies.<b></b></span></li><li><span>Partner with CPO to write po
