PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $194,400.00-$237,800.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $151,400.00 - $280,900.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:
As a Director of Technology - Digital Banking, you will play a pivotal execution role in aligning technology initiatives with business objectives, modernizing platforms, and supporting digital transformation. This role requires a motivated, hands-on leader who rolls up their sleeves to solve problems, drive progress, and lead by example. Your expertise will drive strategic planning, enhance engineering excellence, and implement modern architectures across Cloud, Data, API, and DevOps.
Your leadership will directly impact BECU’s digital banking landscape, ensuring seamless member experiences through innovation, collaboration, and execution. You will oversee technology roadmaps, manage high-performing engineering teams, and champion agile practices. With a focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement, you will shape the future of digital banking technology at BECU.

To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.  For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Strategic Project Execution: Execute on technology initiatives that align with business goals, driving innovation and modernization.
  • Engineering Excellence: Oversee technical requirements, software engineering, and technology delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes across multiple teams.
  • Support Agile Delivery: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and planning sessions. Help remove blockers and ensure timely, high-quality delivery across sprints.
  • Advance DevOps & CI/CD Capabilities: Champion the use of modern engineering practices including infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and observability tooling to improve release velocity and system reliability.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product, operations, architecture, infrastructure and compliance teams to translate business requirements into technical deliverables. Drive
