About the Role:

As the Director of Data Engineering you will lead our Data Engineering organization. You will be responsible for managing people and projects, driving the vision and execution of data initiatives, and ensuring our data platforms and pipelines meet business needs at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to Data Engineering managers and technical leads.

• Oversee the planning, prioritization, and execution of data engineering projects across the organization.

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify, initiate, and drive new data initiatives.

• Define and maintain best practices in data collection, processing, storage, and governance.

• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of data infrastructure and pipelines.

• Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Candidate Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with 5+ years of experience leading large- scale data engineering organizations, including managing managers and tech leads.

• Strong technical expertise in data engineering, including proficiency with:

  • Data pipeline design (ETL, ELT)

  • Data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake)

  • Big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)

  • Cloud platforms (AWS)

  • SQL, Python, and other scripting languages

  • CI/CD, version control, and data quality management practices

• Demonstrated experience leading and scaling data engineering teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments. 

• Deep understanding of data governance,
