POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing and hosting Dominium’s corporate and property events, contributing content and project to the communications team and helping administer Dominium’s Volunteerism program. The individual in this role also participates in teamwide projects and priorities, as determined by the Communications Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

      • Manages and hosts Dominium’s corporate and property events:
        • Oversees all aspects of each event, from setting objectives, to creating plans to executing and closing out the project upon completion.
          • Manages event checklist by ordering food, inventory, reserving venue, tours, guest lists, DDS materials and equipment.
          • Prepares invitations and send out at appropriate time, and drives attendance to the event.
          • Works with guest of honor to ensure all requests are met.
          • Ensures day of event goes smoothly, and analyzes event performance and communicate results.
          • Ensures physical aspect of site including but not limited to; common areas, exterior condition/curb appeal, clubhouse, and signage.
        • Manages staff as appropriate, training individuals on proper event procedures.
        • Corporate events include internal and external events hosted at a variety of hotels, resorts and/or convention centers. (Examples include the Property Management Leadership Conference, The Development Conference, the Annual Partner Dinner, the Corporate Services Conference.)
        • Property events include groundbreaking and grand-opening events and occasionally other events such as construction pizza lunches
        • All events require this individual to work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues to ensure all aspects of the event are seamlessly executed (Includes Dominium’s Design, Communications, Development, Property Management, Corporate Services and HR teams, as well as external production partners, caterers and party rental vendors.)
      • Draft, edit and publish content on behalf of Dominium
        • Participate in editorial planning and execution for internal and external communications
        • Write and edit original content for all Dominium channels (email, online, news releases, etc.).
        • Measure effectiveness of communications across all channels as determined by the Communications Director
      • Helps administer Dominium’s Volunter Program:
        • Partner with Public Affairs team to communicate volunteer activity for the purposes of reporting, recognizing individual and team achievements and contributing to appropriate nonprofit organizations.
        • Collaborate with the programs executive sponsors (Jack Sipes, Paula Prahl) on program structure and improvements
        • Oversee day-to-day execution of the program, including the tracking of hours and financial contributions.
        • Partner with Communications, IT and other teams as appropriate to ensure program is well understood and operates as intended
      • Calculates budgets and adjust when necessary, providing receipts for invoicing.
      • Performs additional projects assigned by supervisor.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of marketing, event planning, and/or management experience in the multifamily industry, or 5+ years’ experience in related field
      • Ability to communicate in English clearly with others orally and in writing
      • Strong negotiation, sales and marketing skills
      • Acceptable mathematical skills as measured by the Profile assessment
      • Strong analytical & financial skills and budget awareness
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
      • Excellent organization skills and the ability to carry out a number of tasks at the same
      • High level of attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
