Now a little more about what you could be doing as part of our team and contributing to Swift’s mission and vision. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR / People Operations Generalist to join our team. As a People Operations Generalist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the human resources function within the organization. 

This position successfully liaises the employee experience and supports the People /HR department in a high-growth startup. We’ve attracted an incredibly talented team of international researchers, engineers, platform architects, programmers, and professionals. This position is part of a team that fosters and owns both the internal and external People experience.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  •  Participates in the development and execution of human resources policies and procedures
  • Facilitating the onboarding and exit process for employees; complete new hire paperwork, create offer letters, initiate pre-employment onboarding activities, communicate pertinent information to candidates; perform exit interviews.
  • Work closely with HR, T/A, and hiring managers to administer offer letters, pre-employment and on-boarding activities as well as conduct new hire orientation, ensuring a high-quality candidate and new hire experience
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, & maintains I-9 files.
  • Conduct new-employee background checks.
  • Stay vigilant of compliance updates on the local, state, and federal level.
  • Assist with researching and developing new procedures to maintain employee handbook, policies, & procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on human resources-related matters
  • Support recruitment process, including job postings, setting up interviews and keeping the ATS with all information up to date
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Conduct employee engagement surveys and provide support for employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Support with company event planning, employee gathering, holiday parties as needed
  • Manage the performance appraisal/review process
  • Support immigration application process for various visas application including O1, TN, H1-B, perm process
  • Support all day to day HR administrative projects
  • Manage weekly communication with international HR team and PEO’s
  • Prepares and maintains confidential personnel, medical, and training files of active and terminated employees in compliance with applicable legal requirements
  • Ensures proper approvals and processes new hire, status change, and termination paperwork in a timely fashion
  • Participates in cross-company HR functions and projects
  • Serves as the back-up to HR team members in event of their absence
  • Support with other human resources and office management related duties and special projects as assigned.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field
  • HR Certification desirable
  • Minimum three to five (3-5) years progressive experience and responsibility in HR positions
  • Experience with supporting the legal team with immigration applications
  • Experience or strong working knowledge of ATS (Greenhouse) 
  • Experience working in a start up fast paced environment
  • International HR experience is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of human resources best practices and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and respond quickly to changing priorities
  • Experience using G-Suite produ
