Senior Welding Inspector

<p>We are seeking a <strong>Senior Welding Inspector</strong> to oversee and ensure compliance with welding procedures and standards on a major <strong>offshore pipelay operation</strong> aboard a lay barge.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul> <li>Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with WPS, project specifications, and international codes (e.g., DNV, ASME, ISO).</li> <li>Review and verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and consumable handling.</li> <li>Conduct visual inspection of welds and coordinate with NDE team for further evaluations.</li> <li>Ensure traceability of materials and welding consumables.</li> <li>Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation.</li> <li>Liaise with client representatives and offshore welding personnel.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p></p><ul> <li>15 years’ experience in welding inspection in offshore oil &amp; gas projects.</li> <li>10 years’ experience as Client representative</li> <li>Certified to <strong>CSWIP 3.2 / 3.1, IWE</strong> / <strong>IWI-C</strong>, or equivalent international welding inspection certification.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of pipeline welding, including automatic welding systems used on laybarges.</li> <li>Familiarity with applicable codes and offshore welding challenges (e.g., pipe alignment, fatigue, corrosion resistance).</li> <li>Fluent in English; excellent reporting and communication skills.</li> <li>Offshore survival and medical certification (valid BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, OGUK or equivalent).</li> </ul>
