This role is critical in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated manufacturing systems for our high-volume production lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation technologies, a proven track record of improving manufacturing efficiency, and the ability to lead complex projects from conception to completion.</p> <p>In this dynamic role, you will lead the charge in delivering cutting-edge projects, optimizing processes, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency and quality. With a focus on impact-driven solutions and a collaborative work culture, this role promises a stimulating journey in engineering excellence.</p> <h2>Detailed Description</h2> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for high-volume manufacturing processes. Execute the developed solutions within a regulated environment, ensuring proper change management processes are followed internally and with customers.</li> <li>Lead the planning, execution, and commissioning of automation projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Prepare and manage the capital package from concept through to project closure</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation system issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing production output.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to optimize manufacturing processes.</li> <li>Work closely with industry leading suppliers to Evaluate and recommend new automation technologies and equipment to improve efficiency and reduce costs.</li> <li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technicians.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements for automated systems.</li> <li>Conduct performance analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation system reliability.</li> <li>Ongoing development of tooling for a comprehensive set of complex machines and mechanical process steps within a manufacturing sector.</li> <li>Assessment of the capabilities of machines and process applications using Design of Experiments</li> <li>Understanding and providing feedback on customer’s technical requirements to team members and management.</li> </ul> <h2>Knowledge/Skills/Competencies</h2> <ul> <li>Project Management - Ability to manage/lead complex, multiple line engineering projects that may also involve other functions. Demonstrate solid understanding of the technical, financial and people aspects of the project. Able to create a project/change management plan and ensure that the project is delivered within the assigned time and budget.
