We offer a fast-paced cross-functional, technologically advanced, start-up environment, and passionate about developing new skills and making a difference. </p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scientific Lead with expertise in pre-clinical and clinical translational research. As a Senior Scientific Lead, you will provide scientific leadership, strategic direction, and technical expertise in preclinical and clinical projects. We are particularly interested in candidates with a deep understanding of natural and synthetic nanoparticles as drug delivery systems. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in experimental design and execution, as well as a track record of scientific excellence.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide scientific expertise and guidance in the planning and implementation of clinical studies.</li><li>Lead and oversee laboratory activities to support the development and validation of iLoF products, ensuring high quality and reproducibility of results.</li><li>Design and execute experiments and assays using state-of-the-art techniques and methodologies to benchmark the iLoF platform technology.</li><li>Analyze and interpret data, including statistical analysis and data visualization, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including photonics, biosignal and analytics, and biology teams.</li><li>Write clear, accurate, and engaging scientific content for the development of scientific manuscripts, white papers, grant proposals, regulatory documents, and technical reports.</li><li>Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements and industry trends in extracellular vesicle biology, drug delivery systems, and clinical research, particularly in key areas such as Neurodegenerative diseases and Oncology. </li><li>Establish and manage partnerships and collaborations with hospitals, academia, pharma and biotech companies. </li><li>Contribute to the preparation of research proposals, grant applications, scientific publications, and regulatory submissions.</li><li>Contribute to the identification of new product lines for the company.</li><li>Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols, regulatory guidelines, and ethical standards in research involving human samples.</li><li>Mentor and train junior scientists and technicians in the company.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Post-doctoral training in extracellular vesicle biology, drug delivery systems and/or clinical research is highly preferred. Alternatively, candidates with more than 7 years of relevant industry experience can also be considered.</li><li>Start-up or SME pharma/biotech experience is a plus.</li><li>Strong background in designing and executing pre-clinical and clinical studies with a focus on biomarker discovery and validation.</li><li>Proficiency in a wide range of laboratory techniques and methodologies related to nanoparticle characterization, such as nanoparticle tracking analysis, dynamic light scattering, flow cytometry, and molecular biology techniques, is highly valued.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex scientific data, including statistical analysis and data visualization.</li><li>Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate research activities within interdisciplinary teams.</li><li>Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals, showcasing expertise in at least one of the following areas: extracellular vesicle research, development of drug delivery systems, characterization of nanoparticles and/or clinical research.</li><li>Experience in mentoring and training junior scientists or technicians.</li><li>Proficiency in scientific software and data analysis tools.</li><li>Familiarity with regulatory requirements and ethical considerations in research involving human samples.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both writte
