Director of Finance and Accounting Operations

Lasko Products, an industry leader of home environment products for over 100 years, is seeking a Director of Finance and Accounting Operations. This role can sit in West Chester, PA, Franklin, TN or Ft. Worth, TX. 

Reporting to the CFO, this position will be responsible for the analysis and reporting for all Operational functions while partnering with the VP of Ops and VP of Supply Chain to deliver well vetted business improvement analysis.   

  Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Operations Business Partnering:
  • Key business partner for the VP of Operations and VP of Supply Chain, including ownership of:
    • Plant and supply chain strategic cost analysis for key business decisions such as:
      • make vs. buy analysis
      • ROI analysis of capex spending, reporting and process improvement
      • vendor costs and discounts
      • Products costing and BOMs and routing updates
      • Ownership over Cost side Master Data and Controls
    • Responsible for monthly plant reporting, KPI’s, and cost savings
    • Work with the management team to develop, improve and document key operational processes and controls for the above
    • Key POC for budgeting and forecasting of Plants, DCs and Sourced Product assumptions
  • Cost Accounting and Reporting:
    • Responsible for P&L related to all COGS, and Warehouse/Shipping
    • Lead and improve all process, procedures and controls, such as:
      • Inventory and E&O/SMI
      • Freight, duty, tariff and warehouse treatment
      • Standard costing
      • Inventory control process
      • Key POC for monthly close of Operational areas
    • Lead assessment of operating results performance with heavy focus on identification of process improvement opportunities
  • Team Management:
    • Manages and lead a team of plant controllers and analysts
    • Set and achieve key annual goals with the team
    • Review, develop and improve functional area

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualifications needed in addition to the topics above:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 7-10 years of experience working in management, with increasing levels of responsibility
• Strong communication skills to present concise summary info
• Must have a proactive and solid follow up approach
• Experience documenting process and controls
• Strong MS Office skills
• Must have management experience with multi location team
• Located in West Chester, PA, Fort Worth, TX or Franklin, TN with ability to be in office 3 days a week

Preferred, but not essential qualifications:

• QAD ERP experience
• Mix of FP&A and Accounting experience preferred with heavy emphasis on Operational Finance
