Position Overview:
Beam is seeking a motivated and curious Program Management Co-op to join our Program Management team from January through June 2026. This role offers the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in how a biotech organization drives alignment, efficiency, and execution across multiple programs. You’ll work closely with program managers and business leaders to assess the tools and processes we use to run our projects, and then roll up your sleeves to design, build, and implement solutions that directly improve how our teams work. In this role, you won’t just make recommendations—you’ll get to put ideas into action. From standardizing workflows and rolling out new templates, to configuring tools and creating automations that save time, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact while developing professional skills. This is a great opportunity for a student interested in operations, business systems, or project management to contribute meaningfully and leave behind solutions that last beyond the co-op term.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate current program management tools across the business and identify opportunities to improve alignment and usability.
- Design and implement standardized processes, templates, and playbooks for program managers to drive consistency across the organization.
- Configure, optimize, and roll out updates or new features within existing program management platforms.
- Build and implement workflow automations to improve efficiency in program management and business operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pilot and launch new tools or processes, ensuring adoption and continuous improvement.
- Track outcomes of implemented solutions, measure impact, and adjust approaches based on feedback and performance data.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing an MS in Business Operations, Project/Program Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related STEM/Operations field.
- Familiarity with program or project management tools, with the ability to help design and maintain templates, dashboards, and reports.
- Experience or coursework involving workflow automation (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate, Zapier) or basic programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python) to enable business process automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to assess complex workflows and develop practical solutions.
