The Department of Philosophy in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University invites applications for a Lecturer (non-tenure track) to join our team for the 2025 Autumn Semester and 2026 Spring Semester. This is an associated faculty position, one-year appointment with the potential for renewal.
Performance Objectives
The successful candidates will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the area of Philosophy as assigned; hold office hours; grade assignments and submit grades; may participate in curriculum development and course coordination.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: Doctoral Degree in Philosophy or equivalent combination of education and experience. Classroom teaching experience required.
Desired: Teaching experience at the university level.

The Department of Philosophy It teaches philosophical courses across the undergraduate curriculum and contributes to multiple interdisciplinary majors and certificate programs. The department offers an undergraduate major, and a PhD program.
