Senior Retail Designer

We are seeking a talented Retail Designer to join our team. As a Retail Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative and visually appealing retail spaces that enhance the overall customer experience. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, creating compelling design concepts, translating concepts into design plans, and ensuring the seamless integration of your designs into physical spaces.

 

Day in the Life:
• Develop and execute creative retail design concepts that align with business objectives and brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and functional retail spaces.
•Producing detailed design drawings, renderings, and specifications using industry-standard software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) to communicate design intent to internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Create compelling presentations using PowerPoint to communicate design proposals to internal teams and clients.
• Stay updated on industry trends and integrate innovative design solutions into projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines.
• Participate in design review meetings, presentations, and cross-functional workshops to solicit input, gather feedback, and refine design concepts based on stakeholder input.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in interior design, industrial design, or a related field.
• 5 – 10 years’ experience in the retail design field 
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Rendering tools for creating detailed design plans and presentations.
• Expertise in utilizing Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) for rendering and visual communication and Microsoft Office Suite as well.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional groups, especially subject matter experts, both internally and externally.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles, ADA compliance, building codes, and regulations related to retail.
• Strong communication skills to convey design concepts and ideas clearly.
• Experience in creating 3D models, renderings, and mood boards to communicate design intent.
• Ability to translate strategic vision into tangible project deliverables.
