In this role, you will report to the Area Operations Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
What we’re looking for
Education:
A high school diploma/ GED is required Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience:
2 -3 years of experience working in a GMP or pharmaceutical environment is preferred.
2 - 3 years applicable experience in customer services/purchasing/or account management
A minimum of 1 -2 years of face-to-face customer service experience is required
Collaboration Tool:
Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, and Office) experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Information intermediate digital literacy including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing
Excellent Customer Service Skills: displays a professional can do demeanor
Strong emphasis on safety, quality, and strict adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures.
Self-management and self-motivation skills, with a forward-thinking approach.
Effective task prioritization and consistent meeting of deadlines.

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role, you will:
Oversee inventory management tasks involving consumables, chemicals, samples, ensuring precise inventory control. Manage requests, enabling inventory movement on and off-site, and fulfill customer metric reporting needs.
Supervise slow-moving and inactive inventory, conduct cycle counts, annual physical inventories, and provide related reports.
Handle purchasing functions encompassing back-order reporting, order entry, expediting, direct factory shipments, 3rd party support, quote management, document control, record maintenance, and resolution of open invoices and pricing issues.
Coordinates shipping activities, including handling customer material, managing routine issues, operating warehouse equipment, inputting shipping details into computer systems, and conducting equipment inspections.
Manages hazardous materials, prepares shipping documentation, and meets packaging requirements.
Analyzes generated data to provide sample metric updates and enhance inventory accuracy.
Documents and investigates quality events related to manufacturing operations to conduct thorough root-cause analysis, determine corrective action plans, assess product impact, and facilitate remediation.
