Sr. Technical Project Manager

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: We’re seeking a self-motivated Sr. Technical Project Manager to help drive digital excellence across our business. You’ll be able to work with cross-functional, distributed teams that include working directly with members of our client’s organizations. With exposure to our complete end-to-end services, you’ll be on the front lines of our ever-evolving agile practice; including the opportunity to coach team members unfamiliar with these processes. Day-to-day, you’ll be crucial in managing client relationships, expectations, and deliverables. If you have a creative mind and a collaborative spirit, we’ve gotta have you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Manage projects from conception to delivery using agile and hybrid project management frameworks
• Facilitate requirement gathering and documentation  
• Facilitate and participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives 
• Collaborate with other Agile teams as a stakeholder or PO with operational knowledge of stories, defects, and dependencies
• Manage cross-functional resources and intra-team dependencies  
• Manage priorities guided by organically evolving designs and changing client requirements
• Manage all aspects of the project life-cycle
• Create and maintain project plans and roadmaps as well as Program Increment goals and annual roadmaps
• Assist in the creation and management of product backlogs
• Manage project on a SAFe release train, including preparation for PI Planning sessions, working with shared resources, identifying intra-team dependencies, and identifying risks  
• Communicate and coordinate with client Agile dev teams, SAFe ART, and stakeholders on technical blockers and risks; dependencies; sprint plans, goals, and demos; PI plans; sprint reports, etc.
• Manage project scope, budgets and team capacity (Includes determining team velocity and burndown reporting) 
• Facilitate a project through release management cycles — including release planning within client organizations
• Schedule and facilitate project meetings, organize meeting notes, and follow up on action items as needed to support the above activities

WHAT YOU BRING

• 7+ years experience in management of web-based technology or digital marketing projects, preferably under an agile project management process 
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Demonstrable experience in project management methods including Scrum and SAFe Agile
• Expert technical knowledge of web applications, infrastructure, methods and tools
• Proven ability to adapt agile methodologies for unique and varying projects, pulling elements from Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, SAFe, etc. to best complete a project
• Hands-on experience working closely with a development team
• Experience writing client-friendly project status documents, status charts and user acceptance testing criteria
• Must be able to identify "best practices" to institutionalize the agile environment 
• Experience in working with business partners, technology teams and customers in defining requirements and managing deliveries
• Exceptional listening and communication skills with a strong ability to communicate business problems, alternatives and project strategy to a project team and customer groups
• Customer collaboration and vendor management experience is preferred, but not required
• Certified Scrum Master or Scrum Practitioner is preferred, but not required
• SAFe certification preferred, but not required
• Experience with AEM or other enterprise WCS/CMS preferred, but not required
• Background working in start-ups or agencies is preferred

TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES

• Tools and techniques you are expected to use day to day, and have hands-on experience with: 
• Jira, Azure, Trello, Pivotal Tracker or equivalent project management tool 
• Atlassian Cloud applications (Jira, Confluence, Trello, Bitbucket, etc.)  
• Enterprise grade G-Suite environments (Docs, Slides, Gmail, Sheets, etc.) 
• Slack for project communications
