About You
The Asset Database Coordinator is responsible for all asset management workflow process associated with the production, distribution and completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance works across the University.
The Asset Database Coordinator administers the University’s physical asset register and will collect key asset attributes required to generate of high quality asset life cycle reporting and ensure that all asset failures are attributed to a root cause. This role will ensure that all maintenance work orders are delivered on time, meet quality expectation.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:
- Demonstrated experience working with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferably Archibus.
- Demonstrated experience working in a high-volume maintenance environment and securing high value outcomes with service providers.
- Broad understanding of asset classes, asset hierarchy and asset attributes found in commercial institutions (ie. building services assets, underground services and building structures).
- Knowledge and understanding of Asset Management System (ISO55001), Facilities Management Management System (ISO41001) principles and work practices.
- Demonstrated experience with electronic engineering data drawing administration and control, MS Office (Word and Excel) and experience with manipulating and analysing MS Excel based data.
- Experience in using and programming in graphical visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik or equivalent.

The Portfolio houses significant drivers and delivery components across the staff and student journeys and enables the overall experience for both groups. Each of these functions supports the global operations of the University both directly as well as through its controlled entities.
Property Services Group has approximately 120 staff and has the responsibility to operate, maintain and enhance the buildings owned and leased by RMIT University, oversee construction projects and ensure the provision of physical facilities services.
The Group has an operating budget in excess of $70M and prospective capital projects of over $100M per annum for the next few years in Melbourne and Vietnam. RMIT's built environment involves approximately 110 buildings in Melbourne spread across all of RMIT's campuses and sites.
