Job Title: Asset Auditor
Locations: Columbia, MD
Performing physical inventory of technology assets in offices and data centers. The inventory verifies the asset data accuracy and billing information. From the main office download existing inventory data on handheld scanners. Take scanners to a local offsite location to conduct inventory as a team. Return to main office to upload captured inventory data. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Physical Inventory of technology devices located at multiple local buildings and Campuses.
- Walk office floors and data centers with handheld scanners to collect and update asset data.
- Return to the main office to dock scanner to download captured asset data
- At times submit access requests for various inventory locations
- Utilizing online tools to research site specific maps as well as points of contact
- Prepare periodic and special purpose reports as required.
Qualifications:
TS/SCI with Poly Required. **MAY be able to start work with Only a CI poly pending successful FSP.
- The Asset Auditor shall have nine (9) years of experience that may include a combination of work history and education. A master’s degree is equivalent to 6 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree is equivalent to 4 years of experience and an associate’s degree is equivalent to 2 years of experience. The degree must be from an accredited college or university. Experience with asset inventory and reconciliation procedures, ticketing systems, and data bases a plus.
- Must be available to work an 8-hour shift starting no later than 6:30am.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; periodic work in tight areas.
