Director Nursing Systems - Mount Sinai West - Full Time - Day Shift

Accountable for the coordination and implementation of the Nursing Department payroll and other administrative systems, for ensuring appropriate office procedures and resources are utilized as well as provision of staff training.
- Develops procedures and administrative systems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of nursing services data such as systems documentation, management of records and processing of records.
- Collaborates with the Information and Technology Department to facilitate the design and implementation of nursing services systems to support its policies, standards and objectives.
- Documents nursing competencies and educational levels and ensures consistency of information disseminated to regulatory agencies.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure the effective and efficient coordination of nursing services systems.
- Provides information system materials as needed for specialty units, research and/or for reporting patient care and nursing practices.
- Conducts in-service educational sessions for nursing and administrative staffs in the appropriate use of new and existing hospital systems. Provides information support services as needed.
- Assesses the capability of current system and compares with outside vendor software to improve current internal systems and procedures.
- Assists in the development of the office administrative budget; manages and monitors budget expenditures for office services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience; Master’s degree highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in office systems and/or operations management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of budgeting experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $86,772.00 - $144,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
