Manager, Operational Risk & Controls
TIAAAbout the role
The Operational Risk and Controls Manager develops and implements internal control functions, monitoring, and oversight for high risk processes associated with business processes, regulatory requirements, and the client experience to ensure adherence to policies and procedures. As the technical/functional expert, the Operational Risk and Controls Manager leads cross-functional projects in support of strategic business initiatives. This role utilizes/analyzes available data to identify process gaps and deficiencies to create control processes that will mitigate risk to the organization.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitors, oversees, and performs quality assurance for high risk processes.
- Leads the cross-functional development and implementation of control processes and procedures to mitigate risk.
- Structures/arranges a composite of data points to perform complex analysis to identify trends to influence continuous process improvement, policy changes/updates, best practices, and coaching.
- Creates and documents processes that ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Presents findings and applicable recommendations to management and/or appropriate business partners.
- Evaluates current reporting, policies and procedures to identify gaps and deficiencies.
- Communicates new or revised policies, procedures, processes and related documents to appropriate team members and/or business units.

Anticipated Posting End Date:
2025-04-02Base Pay Range: $87,400/yr. - $121,500/yr.Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
