We are now looking for Manager, Public Affairs, North America for our Global Public Affairs team. 

 

Global Public Affairs actively contributes to Kemira’s purpose by supporting policy developments which help to improve the quality of water resources, protect the environment and enables our customer’s sustainable business. We aim for a constructive, impactful and transparent dialog with regulatory and societal stakeholders. The desired location for this position is in the Washington, DC area. 

 

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing business critical public policy developments in the North America region and mitigating associated opportunities and risks, in close collaboration with relevant business units and functions.  
• Managing Kemira’s public affairs and advocacy strategy and road map for the North American region. 
• Engaging with government officials, regulatory bodies, trade associations and other industry stakeholders to represent Kemira, serve as a primary point of contact for public affairs in North America  
• Collaborating with Kemira’s Group Communications team to ensure alignment in messaging. 

 

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Masters’ degree in international relations, political sciences, communications or similar 
• 5+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations or a related field with a focus on North America 
• Proven experience of managing public affairs in North America with an excellent understanding of the political landscape and e
