Position Summary

Responsible for leading engineering projects that sustain, improve, and expand existing product lines.

    

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting the engineering tasks and resources of development projects and sustaining engineering activities.
  • Engineering design and documentation include detailed and assembly drawings of structural weldments and vacuum, water pressure, and hydraulic systems, and integration with electrical systems.
  • Create and maintain bills of materials.
  • Participate in the ECO process and perform related changes and
  • Collaborate with production team and vendors to produce designs that minimize labor and overall cost.
  • Provide technical support for production and service to help troubleshoot problems as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement projects to continually improve business practices.
  • Engineering analysis includes structural analysis, drive system calculations, product validation testing, and component selection.
  • Supporting business activities and providing engineering responses to other departments.
  • Develop, execute, and document product hazard reviews.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s)

  • Deploy various project management tools and meet deadlines.
  • Provide work directions to members of the engineering team.
  • High organizational and creative aptitude.
  • Use critical thinking to review, critique, improve and approve system designs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Perform advanced calculations, verification, and documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of product design methodologies to develop and detail component and assembly designs for complex systems.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, MSOffice
