Director of Nurse Education (MSN) (PhD)

Corus Academy, a division of Corus Health, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Director of Nurse Education to provide thorough, patient-focused nursing education to our non-profit facilities in New Mexico. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to educate and inspire potential CNA and CMA candidates, as well as provide continuing education for our current nursing staff.

Requirements

Skills & Requirements:

• Current, unencumbered MSN License
• Master's Degree required, PhD preferred
• Detail oriented and organized
• 2+ years of experience in SNF/LTC or sub-acute care setting strongly preferred
• Background in staff development or nurse education preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of the state and federal guidelines and regulations specific to skilled and long-term care nursing services
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a dedication and commitment to providing quality healthcare services in a resident-focused environment
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Expertise in wound care terminology, interventions, skin assessments
• Ability to effectively communicate, educate, and support the growth and development of our nursing staff
