About the role

The Department of Politics at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for a 4-credit course in the subfield of political theory to be offered in Spring 2026: Democratic Theory (Politics 190a).

The Democratic Theory course explores the nature, virtues, and limitations of democracy as a way of organizing political affairs. It is an intermediate level undergraduate course.


Candidates with an MA or PhD in political science and training in Political Theory will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, draft course syllabi, and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is October 15.
