Senior Network Engineer

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in support of the U.S. Army Europe Regional Cyber Center (RCCE).

 

Location: Wiesbaden, Germany. 

 

In this role you will:

• Provide operational support for Army Top Level Architecture security services in Europe.
• Design, install, and configure firewalls, routers, proxy servers, remote access, and intrusion prevention systems.
• Utilize your experience in & with Cisco firewalls and RAVPN; F5 Big-IP; Cisco routing and switching;Intrusion Prevention Systems; and Blue Coat proxy.
• Use enterprise tools to manage and monitor security devices for which the team is responsible.
• Provide technical and non-technical assistance to network operations personnel to troubleshoot network and security related anomalies.

Qualifications

Required: 

• Bachelors degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; or, an Masters and 6+ years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree/education will be considered. 
• Minimum of 5 years of specialized network engineering experience.
• Active DoD Approved 8140 IAT Level III Certification (i.e. CASP, GCIH, etc.).
• Ability to obtain, within 6 months of hire date, a Firewall and/or Detection/Prevention Systems certification.
• U.S. citizenship and an Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher.

Desired:

• Experience with Ansible and Python preferred.
• Experience with major routing protocols like OSPF and BGP preferred.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
