Purpose/Description
The Executive Assistant 1 to the Retirement System assists the Deputy Director and Executive Director in the administration of the Retirement System. Duties include: sorting mail; answering questions from retirees and active employees; performing death checks; responding to Retirement Commissioners questions; other duties as assigned.
Required Tasks
- Answer telephone for Deputy Direction.
- Type confidential reports, letters, etc.
- Maintain the calendar of the Deputy Director via outlook.
- Create and maintain files.
- Review incoming mail.
- Death Checks
- Back up to the Department Executive Assistant to the Wayne County Retirement System.
- Support/back up the Executive Assistants to the other Deputy Director during absences, breaks and lunch.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational/ Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and three years of administrative/clerical experience, preferably supporting senior or executive management; OR
- Associate degree and one year of administrative/clerical experience, preferably supporting senior or executive management
