About the role

3rd/4th Grade Multi-Age Classroom Teacher

Saint Cecilia Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, student-centered educator to serve as our 3rd/4th Grade Multi-Age Classroom Teacher beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic educator who values strong relationships, high academic expectations, and collaboration. We are seeking a teacher who is committed to academic excellence, Catholic education, and helping every child grow intellectually, spiritually, and socially. Experience in a multi-age classroom is welcomed but not required. Practicing Catholic preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a self-contained 3rd/4th Grade multi-age classroom including Religion, English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson and unit plans aligned with Archdiocese of Seattle standards and research-based instructional practices.
  • Differentiate instruction and assessment to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Foster a classroom culture rooted in Catholic values, respect, responsibility, and a love of learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and partner with families to support student growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues through Professional Learning Communities, instructional coaching, and regular team planning.
  • Participate in the faith life of the school, including Masses, prayer services, retreats, and service opportunities.
  • Supervise students during assigned duties and participate in school events, including Open House, concerts, and other community activities.
  • Maintain accurate student records and complete other professional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will support the mission of Saint Cecilia Catholic School and demonstrate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Washington State teaching certificate or the ability to obtain certification.
  • Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous professional growth.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Completion of Archdiocese of Seattle Safe Environment requirements, including Virtus training and a successful background check.

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be able to:

  • Walk, stand, sit, bend, and reach throughout the school day.
  • Stand for extended periods while providing classroom instruction.
  • Work at a computer for planning, communication, and record keeping.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

  • Competitive salary based on education and experience. $55,000 ļæ½ 65,000 a year Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
