Our Team
Eversource is looking for a Senior Program Manager, Strategic Project Development, Transmission located in Westwood, MA.
You will be responsible for advancing Major and Strategic Projects throughout Transmission by implementing cross-functional leadership throughout the Company and executing on the Capital Plan while adhering to core business synergies.
The role will include development of comprehensive strategies for advancing strategic projects, including internal analytics, external communications and stakeholder relationship building in collaboration with other teams to support the Company’s role as the leading provider of Transmission. Will be expected to work collaboratively and coordinate with all relevant departments within the Company including System Planning, Engineering, Siting, Outreach, Regulatory, Legal and Project Management.
Essential Functions:
Supports development and documentation of Company policies related to development and execution of strategic transmission projects addressing items such a feasibility, planning, siting, permitting, construction, etc.
Maintains familiarity with current and upcoming policies and programs that could facilitate Transmission Development
Coordinates discussions to advance Major Transmission Projects
Works with the Director to develop metrics by which to evaluate the success of transmission projects and continue to track the progress.
Facilitates discussions with key stakeholders to assure alignment and key information exchange; focuses on collaboration internally and externally
Develops project schedules and budgets in the conceptual phase prior to execution
Interacts regularly with Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Affairs, and Energy Efficiency to develop concept plan
Assists with representing Eversource Transmission on committees, groups, associations, or other efforts consistent with their Projects
Develops business case to pursue concepts or unique strategies
Coordinates with various business units to identify and advance projects and Company initiatives
Represents Eversource Transmission at public meetings, regulatory hearings, town hall meetings and any special meetings that may occur
Assists as needed for any stakeholder outreach meetings and discussions
Engages with internal stakeholders to solicit input and involvement as needed and to provide education on Strategic Project Development
Ensures that all strategic solutions are vetted in a manner consistent with the Company’s safety and procurement policies and programs
Technical Knowledge/Skills

Project management experience required
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences internally and externally
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (i.e., engineering, environmental), business discipline, related degree, or equivalent experience
Masters, law, or other related advanced degree desirable
Experience:
Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience, including successful project development
Experience developing competitive infrastructure projects and knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
Valid Driver’s license is required
Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required
