Job Description:
Lead, manage, and oversee all aspects of CxC student programming, resources, and services, including supervision of the CxC Student Services team responsible for CxC Studio operations, C-I student learning resource development, the LSU Peer Communication Coaching program, LSU Communicator Certificate, and Distinguished Communicator Medal program. Additionally, this position is responsible for envisioning, planning, and implementing short- and long-term strategies to maximize operational efficiencies, retain high-performing staff, and elevate student support services, resources, and programming in alignment with the CxC/Geaux Communicate institutional strategy.
Job Responsibilities
CxC Student Support Services (60%): Lead, oversee, and enable efficient and effective execution of CxC student support resources, services, and programming in an manner that supports the enhancement, expansion, and advancement of C-I teaching and learning across the campus. This includes serving as a member of the student services team in addition to supervising, coaching, guiding, and supporting this team which is responsible for:
sourcing, development, delivery, project management, file management, and promotion of co-curricular C-I student learning resources and services (synchronous, asynchronous, and hybrid; multimedia formats)
recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining Undergraduate Communication Peer Coaches
identifying and deploying C-I learning tools and technologies
tracking student support services data (tech inventory, space visitation, resource/service usage, etc.)
managing the LSU Communicator Certificate and the LSU Distinguished Communicator Medal programs
Leadership & Administration (35%):
Development, retention, and supervision of the CxC student support team; Fostering a rich, high performing culture of student-centric service and academic excellence
Functional design, management, and operational policies of CxC studio spaces
Oversight of planning and managing the CxC student support services budget
Liaising and collaborating with other CxC teams (i.e., CxC Faculty Development Team, Admin Team) and LSU units (e.g., Career Services, Undergraduate Research) to strategically enhance and elevate CxC student support/services initiatives and the overall C-I learning experience for LSU students
Remaining abreast of C-I teaching and learning strategies, new technologies, and emerging trends in co-curricular academic student support programming and high-impact educational practices
Envisioning, planning, and implementing short- and long-term strategies to maximize operational efficiencies, retain high-performing staff, and elevate student support services, resources, and programming in alignment with the CxC/Geaux Communicate institutional strategy.
Leads research, publication, and scholarship surrounding co-curricular C-I learning support
Other duties as assigned (5%)
Additional Information
As with all LSU employees, due to this position title and/or responsibilities, this position has an obligation to assist students in the acquisition of necessary services.
