Configuration Manager in IoT Automotive Edge (m/f/d)

At our client, in configuration management, they have set themselves the goal of reconciling the challenges of the automotive industry with the advantages of agile development. Through this and with the help of their agile mindset, know-how and innovative ideas, they bring about noticeable and measurable improvements in the classic development landscape.

As a configuration manager you will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas and continually expand your skills. In this role, you will create and implement a configuration management strategy in close collaboration with agile teams. This involves the configuration of all development artifacts that arise during the development of component, HW and SW systems.

• Definition and continuous improvement of a configuration management strategy
• Coordination of operational activities in configuration management
• Automation of various configuration management relevant processes through the use of modern tools
• Organization and planning of configuration management in accordance with Automotive SPICE and IEEE 828 requirements
• Maintenance of the infrastructure within configuration management in collaboration with the IT department

Requirements

• Completed studies (diploma/master) in the field of computer science, electrical engineering or a similar field of study
• Strong communication skills, negotiation skills and a high level of initiative
• Professional experience in configuration management or build and release management
• Experience in the area of ​​PMT (processes, methods and tools)
• Good knowledge of maturity models such as Automotive SPICE or CMMI
• Good knowledge of spoken and written German and English

Additionally advantageous:

• Good knowledge of tools such as MS Azure DevOps, Jira, CodeBeamer, Git, Jenkins, Docker, NuGet, JFrog or similar
• Ideally, experience in product line engineering and variant management (e.g. branch and release strategies for multi-variant systems)
