Global Scholar Orientation Leader (Fall 2025)
Position Summary:
Orientation Leaders assist new Global Scholars in their transition to Babson College and life in the U.S. They serve as role models, provide support during orientation, and help first-year students integrate into the campus community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a positive role model for new Global Scholars.
- Attend and actively participate in the four-day Global Scholar Orientation in August 2025, prior to Babson’s general undergraduate orientation.
- Assist with the organization, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of orientation activities.
- Introduce new students to campus services and off-campus resources.
- Maintain communication with new scholars via WhatsApp or other platforms.
- Encourage new students to engage fully in the university environment.
- While the role officially finishes once orientation concludes, first-year Globies may look to their leaders as trusted confidants.
Requirements & Benefits:
- Must be living on campus for Fall 2025 (early move-in required).
- Leaders must arrive on August 16th, 2025 (date subject to confirmation).
- Fully available from Sunday, August 17th to Wednesday, August 20th.
- Paid for 35 hours of work during orientation week (August 17th-August 20th, 2025).
- Most meals and activities will be covered for the leader.
- Must have a Social Security Number (SSN) prior to orientation due to HR paperwork requirements.
