About the role

Figma is growing our team of passionate people on a mission to make design accessible to all. Born on the Web, Figma helps entire product teams brainstorm, design and build better products — from start to finish. Whether it’s consolidating tools, simplifying workflows, or collaborating across teams and time zones, Figma makes the design process faster, more efficient, and fun while keeping everyone on the same page. From great products to long-lasting companies, we believe that nothing great is made alone—come make with us!

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to help lead our developer-related product efforts, a top company priority, serving one of the largest audiences within Figma’s product. In this role, you‘ll be focused on building tooling and capabilities that supercharge a developer’s efficiency in translating Figma designs to functional production-ready code - mapping, visualizing and managing the relationship between design and code.

Our first major developer product—Dev Mode—is still in an early stage, and there’s so much left to figure out. With a passion for improving developer workflows, a curiosity for how product teams work together, and an appreciation for technical challenges, you can help us define the future of how developers should be building modern-day applications, and more!

This is a full time role that can be held from our NY hub.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Deeply understand the experience, workflows and pain points of front-end developers working in Figma
  • Explore new ways to connect designs in Figma to external code components in a codebase.
  • Build tools and APIs that help large organizations customize Dev Mode to their bespoke frameworks, tech stack and workflows.
  • Work closely with designers and engineers to define features and execute against the roadmap
  • Imagine new possibilities in this space, and help craft a future vision for 2025 and beyond.
  • Grow your career in an engaged, creative, and thoughtful community.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Shipped a number of successful, high-impact consumer facing products
  • Experience working on highly technical products, or products catering towards technical audiences

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • A development background, or if you have worked on developer tooling in the past
  • An eye for the detail, both in terms of user experience and the technical nuances
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, scrappy environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly at different altitudes, including driving alignment with senior stakeholders
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
