It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it into a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:</p></div><p><strong>Senior Product Counsel</strong></p> <p>You'll be Mews' in-house legal partner embedded directly with Product and Engineering, shaping how new products, features and launches get built rather than reviewing them after the fact. Mews' fintech products span partner-led models, cross-border propositions and increasing regulatory scrutiny, and this role exists to bring legal judgement into those decisions early enough to actually change outcomes. It's a chance to sit at the centre of product development for a fast-growing, regulated fintech business rather than at the margins of it.</p> <p>You'll advise across Mews' SaaS and financial services products, draft and negotiate commercial, product, partner and regulated-services agreements, and support licensed products across payments, embedded finance, money transmission, lending and partner bank models.</p> <p>As Mews scales its fintech offering across the US and internationally, product decisions increasingly carry regulatory weight, and most legal teams only see that risk once it's already built in.
