About this position:
LMCU is looking for a Business Continuity Coordinator who will be responsible for maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure that the organization can maintain essential functions during and after a crisis. This role involves assessing risks, conducting business impact analyses, and coordinating with various departments.
What you’ll do:
Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery strategies
to minimize risks associated with disruptions.Regularly test and update continuity plans to ensure
they remain effective and relevant, incorporating lessons learned from exercises and real events.Conduct annual business continuity tests/reviews with each branch/department. Conduct meetings with management and staff to provide training and familiarity with the business continuity process and their individual responsibilities.
Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical business functions, key dependencies, and potential
threats.Develop training programs and materials to educate employees on business continuity procedures, roles, and responsibilities.
Maintain detailed documentation of all business continuity
processes, test results, and updates by making modifications based upon test results in conjunction with management.Provide reports to management on continuity planning status and readiness. Communicates with management representatives to ensure all documentation is current and accurate.
Collaborate with the vendor management team to ensure their business continuity capabilities align with the organization’s standards and requirements.
Assist in developing crisis communication plans and for both internal and external communications during incidents.
What You’ll Bring: You’ll like this position if you are...
Three years to five years of experience in business continuity, risk management, disaster recovery, or operational planning.
Experience coordinating cross-departmental initiatives and managing projects is critical.
A bachelor's degree in business administration, risk management, information technology, emergency management, finance, or a related field of study.
Knowledge of business continuity planning concepts, policies, procedures, and necessary software (Microsoft Office).
Ability to read and comprehend technical information in order to comprehend training materials, operating guides, and professional association literature.
Experience with risk analysis tools and project management software.
Comfortable conducting awareness sessions and continuity plan drills.
