Medical Staff Manager

Full Time, Days

Position Summary:
Coordinates and assists in the development, planning and operational management of the Medical Staff Allied Health Professional Personnel enabling them to fulfill their duties and obligations as defined by regulatory agencies (such as JC) and the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations as delegated by the Hospital Governing Board. Promotes and enhances good communication and positive working relationships il between facility Administration and the Medical Staff.
 

• Coordinates the CME Program of the Hospital
• Coordinates and provides technical and administrative support, guidance and resources to the Medical Staff officers and Department and/or Committee chairmen for formal and informal meeting activities for those departments and committees assigned primary responsibility. (See attached listing for Assigned Departments and Committees)
• Coordinates and provides administrative support to the credentialing and/or re- 
  credentialing process and privilege delineation activities for both the medical staff and AHP staff for those departments assigned primary responsibility in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations so as to ensure only qualified practitioners provide care in the hospital. 
  
• Maintains accurate and current demographic data for all members of the Medical Staf and Allied Health Professional Staff. 

Education: 

Minimum: Basic college courses
Preferred:    Associates    Degree    or    Bachelor's

Certification 

National Association, CPMSM and/or Certifications

Experience:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in hospital setting
- Excellent Organizational Skills
