Are you ready for duty?</p><p></p><p><b><u>The role</u></b><br/>As the Project Manager Productio you are responsible for the coordination and execution of the construction process of building a (module of) a naval ship. Since the shipbuilding production sites are located around the globe, it is important that you are available for significant business travel and/or working abroad for a long duration.</p><p></p><p><b><u>Key accountabilities</u></b><br/>In this role, your responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li><p>Being responsible for the execution and coordination of all production activities of a shipbuilding project.</p></li><li><p>Coordinating the shipbuilding process within the set budget, planning and quality targets.</p></li><li><p>Advise in, and help with the development of the building strategy, sequence, and approach for the execution phase of a shipbuilding project.</p></li><li><p>Providing measures and/or alternative solutions if planning and/or quality cannot be achieved.</p></li><li><p>Managing a team of supervisors and ensuring this team has the required qualifications and capacity.</p></li><li><p>Overseeing the actual construction, delegating work activities and coordinating supervisors and subcontractors.</p></li><li><p>Controls the activities by means of registration, analysis, verification, evaluation, and corrective measures.</p></li><li><p>Advising on additional work and variations on planned building processes<br/> </p></li></ul><p><br/><b><u>Skills &amp; experience</u></b><br/>We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>3+ years of experience leading a production team over a complex (shipbuilding) project.</p></li><li><p>Solid experience working on the production of complex (naval) shipbuilding or offshore solutions.</p></li><li><p>Bachelor or Master degree in Maritime Engineering, Naval Architecture or another technical study.</p></li><li><p>Good command of the English and Dutch language (written &amp; verbal).</p></li><li><p>Available for significant business travel and /or working abroad for a long duration.</p></li><li><p>Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.</p></li><li>Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>What we offer</u></b><br/>At Damen Naval, we highly value our employees, and we will support your professional and personal development.
