What you will do-
Responsibility for driving operational excellence for assigned U.S. health and welfare plans and global expatriate and business travel plans. Acts as an ethical and valuable fiduciary of all assigned plans, policies, regulations and processes. Develops programs designed to keep employees informed about company benefit plans and any proposed changes. Ensures that programs are current with regard to trends, practices and costs. Interacts with others in areas, such as the indirect procurement or legal departments, to investigate innovative programs to determine feasibility in terms of cost, risk to the company, and legal implications.
- With collaboration, manages assigned benefits.
- Develops programs designed to keep employees informed about company benefit plans and any proposed changes.
- Ensures that programs are current with regard to trends, practices, regulatory compliance and costs.
- Interacts with others in areas, such as the indirect procurement or legal departments, to investigate innovative programs to determine feasibility in terms of cost, risk to the company, and legal implications.
- Oversee contract negotiation and RFP process for assigned plans. Partner with legal and indirect procurement teams to approve contract terms.
- Ensure consistency across the geographies where applicable.
- Lead integration of new acquisition benefits plans: ensure compliant approach, support local HR managing potential gaps of benefits (Stryker vs. new acquired company)
- Participate in projects where benefits analyses are involved.
- Monitor benefits experiences for cost control and risk assessment factors. Drive continuous improvement.
- Build relationships with all appropriate vendors as the main point of contact. Establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with all vendors and ensure they continue to meet defined performances measures.
- Develop the recommendation for annual revisions and enhancements.
- Present proposed changes to Stryker leadership.
- Direct and drive all ongoing and annual changes with the systems and benefits teams.
- Maintain a highly collaborative and team centered approach to joint projects and ventures.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of the labor market and its relationship to organizational success.
- Oversee and manage assigned benefits team member(s).
What you need-
- Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of equivalent experience required
- 10+ years of work experience required
- Previous HR or role-related experience required
- 5+ years business-facing HR, HR COE, HR Operations, or role-related experience preferred
- 4+ years of people leadership experience preferred
- Experience in multiple HR disciplines or client groups preferred
- Experience in design and strategy of self-insured health plans preferred
- CEBS certification or similar training preferred
126,500k-279,500k salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
