The opportunity

Altruist is in the midst of an exceptional growth phase and we’re excited to hire a Senior Mobile QA Engineer to join our growing mobile team. In this role, you’ll work on testing new product features and create automation scripts for our web and mobile application. 

Your impact

• Maintain, support, and extend our existing in-house automation framework and automation suite
• Make quality visible by capturing and reporting on metrics such as change failure rate, mean time to restore and lead time for changes
• Define test strategies, design test plan, execute test cases
• Complete automation suite for regression testing and functional test suite
• Reduction of Bug leakage
• Collaborate with Software Engineering Leaders, Project Managers, Product Managers, and others to ensure smooth integration of Quality Engineering solutions into the SDLC (Agile)
• Turn complex testing and tools into simple documentation or processes for others to use
• Mentor junior team members and be a role model
• Enhance the automation framework to enhance the scalability
• Identify and develop design patterns and practices within the quality assurance team

What you bring

• Experience - 4 years of experience working as Mobile QA Engineer and over 6 years of experience working on web applications
• Technical aptitude - You’re technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks
• Experience testing on various platforms and devices such as Mobile phones and tablets
• Experience with automation tools such as selenium, Appium, Espresso, XCUITest
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and common debugging tools (e.g., ADB, Xcode)
• Strong experience in Java
• Understanding of databases, SQL, and application servers
